10:14: Introducing Kalib Starnes vs. Alan Belcher

Fight: Kalib Starnes vs. Alan Belcher

Round 1: 1:00 min in to the fight Starnes bleeding from the right eye. Less than a minute left in the first and Belcher looks great in the fight, good kicks and good boxing. “Kalib is handing in there” – Joe Rogan, Round 1 ends. Belcher defiantly wins the first round.

Round 2: 1 minute in Belcher drops his hands and shows his confidence. Eve Lavine stops the fight to check Starnes cut. “Blood is going in my eye” – Kalib Starnes and the fight is stopped

Alan Belcher wins!

Vote now is 46% to Silva will win, 54% to Rich Franklin.

Fight: Stephan Bonnar vs. Eric Schafer

Round 1: In the first two minutes, Bonnar looks better, more punches and kicks landed. 2:11 left in the round and Schafer takes Bonnar down. 1:10 “This is definitely not where Stephan Bonnar wants to be, on the ground, on his back” – Joe Rogan. 35 second left and Schafer loses one of his hooks. Schafer was close to submitting Bonnar. 13 seconds left and Bonnar turns it around and gets on top. – Hard round to judge, looks even, perhaps with slight advantage to Eric Schafer.

Round 2: First minute in and Shafer takes Bonnar down, but ends up on his back and gets ground and pounded by Bonnar. Big John McCarthy stops the fight.

Stephan Bonnar Wins! (by ground and pound)

Fight: Jorge Gurgel vs. Alvin Robinson

Round 1: Quick start for both of the fighters. One minute in the fight and Gurgel is on top of Robinson. “(Gugel) showing a dominant positioning” – Joe Rogan Most of the fight was on the ground, Gurgel was on top all of the time, was controlling the fight and got the a full mount in the last 10 seconds of the round. Gurgel owned this round.

Round 2: First 20 seconds: “Jorge on his back” – Joe Rogan. 3:40 left in the round and Gurgel gets the top position. 2:22 min left and Robinson gets on top – some good hammer fists/G’N'P by Robinson. Jorge Gurgel’s nose is bleeding and he keeps taking Robinson G’N'P. Alvin Robinson gives Gurgel some nasty ground and pound and Gurgel gets saved by the bell. The round ends on Jorge Gurgels back.

Round 3: First seconds in the round and Robinson gets Gurgel on his back (again). Three minutes in the round and Jorge Gurgel is still getting pounded. “This is going to be very disappointed loss for Jorge Gurgel” – Joe Rogan.

Alvin Robinson Wins! (Unanimous Decision)
Judges scores: 29-28, 29-27, 29-27.

11:26: Brock Lesnar is signed with UFC!

11:42:
Fight: Brandon Vera vs Tim Sylvia

Round 1: First round was a clinch game. I felt Vera had better clinch and strikes than Sylvia.

Round 2: Second round more of the same, clinch game. I feel like Tim Silvia is trying to stay inside the clinch, don’t want any of Vera’s striking. Vera takes Sylvia down, does almost nothing. Now 20 second until the second round is over, Vera kicks sylvia while he is getting up and gets a warning for illegal head kick. Still I believe this round belongs to Vera because he was more effective.

Round 3: Third round was just as boring as the other two rounds. Tim Sylvia kept clinching. In the last 2 minutes Sylvia unleashed some good combinations and cut Vera on the head. The round ends and its obvious to all that Sylvia won at least the last two rounds. Overall it wasn’t a great fight, Tim made it as boring as he always does, clinched, did not fight much and got Boo’ed, more of the usual.

In the interview, Tim Sylvia calls out Chieck Kongo.
Vera claims he broke his left hand in the first round.

Tim Sylvia Wins via Unanimous Decision!
Judges scores: 28-27, 29-28, 29-28.

12:23:
MAIN EVENT

Fight: Rich Franklin vs Anderson Silva

Round 1: First round defiantly belonged to Anderson Silva, it was good exchange. Franklin got knocked down, and was saved by the bell. A lot of good exchanges, but Silva looked great, he had much better stand up and striking.

Round 2: Second round, Silva once again destroys Rich Franklin with his better combinations and better striking.

Anderson Silva (by TKO (second round 1:07 ) Wins!
