Kalib Starnes is cut from his UFC contract after UFC 83 performance


Surprise! well…not really, after losing a unanimous decision on scores of 30-26, 30-27, and an unheard of 30-24, Kalib Starnes was cut from his contract by UFC president Dana White.Kalib Starnes spent most of the evening running from Nate Quarry in their middleweight bout.

Dana White on Starnes:

“He just doesn’t belong in the UFC and after his performance the other night, he should consider a new line of work,” White said Monday.

UFC 83: Kalib Starnes vs. Nate Quarry added to the Fight Card


UFC 83: Kalib Starnes vs. Nate Quarry

Kalib Starnes (8-2-1) will take on Nate Quarry (9-2) at the Bell Centre in Montreal on April 19. Last fight, Kalib Starne via TKO due to a Dr. Stoppage against Alan Belcher at UFC 77, and Nathan Quarry is returning from a knockout victory over Pete Sell at Fight Night 11 on September of 2007.

UFC 83 is headlined by a bout between Georges St. Pierre and Matt Serra for the UFC Welterweight Championship. This should is a good addition to an already what looks to be solid UFC 83 fight card.
