Apparently Wanderlei Silva and Michael Bisping had some words at the press conference (video to be provided later today). Looks like this just became a bad blood fight!

Earlier today, New York Secretary of State, Lorraine Cortes-Vazquez, wrote an article in the Times Union about how she approves of legalizing MMA in New York.

Governor David Paterson said earlier this month that legalizing the sport was part of his plan in closing the state’s budget deficit. Ms. Cortes-Vazquez’s article was in support of this decision:

Based on our experience regulating professional boxing in New York and on conversations with top regulators from more than a dozen other states that regulate MMA, I believe this sport, when properly regulated, will provide New Yorkers with financial and sports entertainment value while maintaining high standards regarding the safety and health of participants.

The governor has made the right decision in his effort to bring MMA to New York.

Former PRIDE heavyweight champion, Antonio “Minotauro” Nogueira talks about his upcoming fight against rising star, Cain Velasquez at UFC 110. He talks about having the experience advantage but shouldn’t put Cain’s skills aside because of it.
