I could not be happier that the card is now finalized for UFC Fight Night July 19th on Spike! It appeared miracles had occurred and Jesse Taylor had in fact cleared his head and grown up in the short few months since his testosterone driven drunken acts of stupidity following the conclusion of TUF 7! After hearing the rumor online repeatedly that he would be not only invited to be under contract with the UFC, but would in fact be fighting none other than CB “I did not tap!” Dollaway, I was again frustrated by Dana White’s continued brilliant moves as head of the UFC! I was shocked by the idea that he would have such a huge change of heart after that stunt. Then again, I thought White’s comments regarding Taylor were hypocritical in the first place. Here he gives the fighters a very nice place to stay, and from what I have seen, actually encourages them to destroy it in the name of ratings, and then cries foul when Taylor does the same crap on the street. I understand that these guys are in the same house and all for a number of weeks so sh*t is going to get damaged, but come on, seriously. When they have no respect for other’s property and you look the other way don’t be surprised when they embarrass your organization in public. I honestly don’t see how the fighters trashing the house doesn’t tarnish the image of the UFC from the start to the casual observer. I have had to debate people for years that MMA, and the UFC in particular, was not a blood sport filled with barbaric animals who simply had nothing better to do than try and calm their sociopathic rages by trying to kill another man in a ring with a referee. So, when I heard Taylor was being brought in to fight on the 19th I was just shocked. Thankfully the rumors were just that, rumors, in fact doing a search for Jesse Taylor on UFC.com comes up with 0 results. That’s a good sign! Now we have two great fight cards to watch that evening. So the only question left instead of why is Dana allowing this moron back into the UFC to ruin their image is, which fight to Tivo??
