Fedor Emelianenko

This interview was taken by The No Holds Barred host Jaime Martinez in LA.

Jaime Martinez: Are there any concrete plans to fight in the United States? If yes, who are you negotiations with?
Fedor Emelianenko: I plan to fight 2-3 times this year. The first bout will be held April 11, but I am not sure who I will fight against. It will be either Jeff Monson, or Pedro Rizzo.

JM: If you take part in all of these fights this year, do you feel that this will enhance your readiness for a possible battle against Couture?
FE: I am ready to fight with Randy right now, even without one or two fights scheduled in advance. I think that Randy is having some problems with his organization.

JM: What is the strength of Randy?
FE: Randy – a good fighter. He feels fighting. He is also a high level fighter, a good wrestler and a stand up fighter.

JM: You met with Randy Couture last week in Los Angeles. How did your meeting go, what did you talk about?
FE: It was a business trip for shooting promotional video. I met with Randy. We talked a lot about what: in-mostly on families, I invited him to Russia. He told me a story about him visiting Russia once. He invited me to his house.
